The plaintiffs won in the lower court, and that judgment was affirmed by the appeals court. You can read the decision here, in which Judge Joan Gottschall, writing for the Seventh Circuit, blows away the state’s argument that it’s okay not to give proper health care to trans inmates because some inmates don’t really need hormones.
